Fighting for a stronger Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream
Binny Boparai is a Kelowna entrepreneur, farmer, and community leader whose work has shaped the local economy for over a decade. As Co-Founder and President of Farming Karma, an award-winning farm-to-table beverage company, she has helped grow a family-owned business that turns locally grown fruit into products carried in thousands of stores across Canada.
Under her leadership, the company has earned provincial recognition for sustainability and innovation, including BC Food & Beverage's Circularity Award and a Product of the Year nomination. Binny was named Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by BC Food & Beverage in 2024.
She also serves on the board of directors of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, where she advocates for a stronger small business and agriculture sector, and sits on Kelowna's Agriculture Advisory Committee. Beyond business, she partners with local schools and colleges through Farming Karma's Do Good Initiative to open young people up to careers in agriculture and entrepreneurship.
Having immigrated to Canada as a teenager, Binny believes in building a region where families can thrive, small businesses can grow, and every voice is heard.
She is running for the BC NDP in Kelowna–Lake Country–Coldstream because she wants to fight for affordable housing, resilient local food systems, stronger public services, and a future where the next generation can see themselves here.
